I’m pulling stumps with Jesus and He asks me, “How does pulling stumps relate to faith?”
I replied, “I think the pulling of stumps had more to do with love than it does faith, Lord.”
“Why?” asked the Lord.
“Because I’m removing them so that we can drive around the area and turn corners without damaging someone’s car.”
The Lord expressed to me, “Yes, you are doing it because you love people and your wife. You want to take care of stuff and make it what it needs to be so people find peace here. But it is an act of faith.”
“How is it an act of faith?”
“Faith works by love…”
Galatians 5:6
“…now abides these three: Faith, Hope, and Love, and the greatest of these is love.”
1 Corinthians 13:13
We must reconsider our ideas about faith and love. Faith and hope are truly moved by love.
