Why God Chooses Us: A Matter of the Heart

“Why did I pick you?” The answer isn’t found in talent, status, or spiritual achievement—but in something much simpler: God chooses us because He loves us.

Looking at figures like Moses, David, and Paul, the common thread isn’t greatness, but humility and a heart open to God. They weren’t perfect, but they were willing to repent, listen, and walk in a relationship with Him. In contrast, a modern tendency toward flattery and self-exaltation in the church emphasizes that God values truth over praise and intimacy over image.

The message calls believers to move away from seeking recognition or greatness and instead embrace a life rooted in humility, obedience, and relationship with God. True identity isn’t found in what we accomplish for God, but in being loved by Him and included in His purpose.

Ultimately, God doesn’t choose us because we are extraordinary—He makes our lives meaningful because we are His.
