Neil is leaving this week for a significant month-long mission trip to Australia that has some unique aspects:
21-year fulfillment: This trip represents the fulfillment of a vision Neil has had for 21 years – “This is the year after 21 years of having this vision in my head. This is the time when you’re (Neil) going to see at least the start of it fulfilled.”
Divine arrangement: God has orchestrated everything about this trip beyond his capabilities – “This is my trip and he has brought everything that’s possible way beyond my possibilities into play to create this trip.”
Ministry locations:
- Aboriginal communities
- Perth
- Adelaide
- Loxton area
Approach: Neil isn’t preparing specific messages or bringing study materials. “I don’t prepare with a message for a trip. I don’t take a bunch of study material with me. I read, I’m in the Bible. I am in the Spirit, talking with him about scripture.”
Divine guidance: Neil believes God said: “I’m going to open your mouth and I will put my words in it” and “I’m going to make your words, my words.”
Neil mentions experiencing unprecedented spiritual opposition before this trip, which he sees as confirmation of its importance. He’s focused not on numbers or specific outcomes but on being a vessel for God’s work.
