John 15 continues at verse 16. See John 15 Part 1,  John 15 Part 2 , and John 15 Part 3.

What does it mean to love Jesus? How can I say He’s my Savior and Lord if I don’t do things that please Him? How can I judge my relationship with the Lord? It has to show in the way I’m living.

There is a condition to praying “anything” and that is to be in a love relationship. And if you are in a love relationship with God there will be things that never even come in your mind to ask God for. Because love is not about getting, it’s about living responsibly and responsively to the one I say I love.

If you’re not bearing fruit, you will not be able to ask God anything and have Him give it.

Conclusion of John 15:

  • Love God above our own life.
  • Desire His will to the hurt and loss of my own desires.
  • Be an example to the world that causes them to have to face the truth.
  • Love never fails because God, who IS love, never fails.
