Neil and Dana share what God has been speaking to them.
Dana: God has been answering a question that I have been asking, “Why is it so difficult for us to obey God’s commands?” Specifically, loving our neighbors as we love ourselves. God is wanting us to grasp the idea of forgiveness, living in His love, being sacrificial in our own walks, desires, and needs.
We need to get a bigger view of what love is. Love is kind, but love is also very painful; it is forgiving, but it’s also having to live in the truth.
Neil: As children of the King, we are responsible to bring the kingdom to others and have a standard of conduct. We are responsible to take care of the kingdom and the people in it.
Very good. It is nice to hear from Dana.
I am doing something a bit unusual at the moment – reading a commentary, but it’s really a bit more prophetic than sort of scholarly, though it has that side. It’s a commentary on the book of Amos. Amos is really about exactly what you are talking about here. The Lord will roar from Zion. But it’s very hard to find much meaning in a prophetic book like Amos without getting some help.
i was wondering when the next edition of the minutes was coming.
Question: can you fast and fish at the same time?
Jer 15:20 And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the LORD.
