HONOR
“…the honor of one becomes the honor of all.”
If I bring honor into a room it changes the attitude in the room. To be a church without spot and wrinkle we need to recognize that God’s glory is about honor. He brings honor to us and we should be honoring His presence. Not only emotionally, but especially in covenant. Covenant has requirements on both sides and Jesus met His and Father fulfilled all His promises in Jesus.
How will we express Jesus to the world if all we do is talk about people’s sin? How can I live in such a way to honor the Father and the covenant He fulfilled in Christ? Where is the evidence of honoring the Father in our lives?
Thank you for sharing. That was deep. I have always heard that glory meant weight or weightY. I like what you shared about honor.
I agree that the honor and reverence isn’t always shown through the Church/body of Christ as it should be.
I also have a door story. It was late one afternoon. I had a deep sense that Jesus wanted me to enter into a room through a door.. I did not want to enter because I felt there were people in there who didn’t want me there. I was grieving and refusing to enter in. I then experienced a sense of him saying I will not shut you out. I will shut you in. As I am typing this, I am wondering, whether or not there will be people such as those at the wedding feast who get thrown out because they were not properly dressed.
Kim. The Lord knows and has a standard He does not compromise.
