1 Chronicles 21 / 2 Samuel 24:1-25
1 Chronicles 21: 24 “…for I will not take what is yours for the LORD, nor offer burnt offerings with that which costs me nothing.”
Getting into the kingdom of God is free. He opens the door for everyone to enter. But walking with Jesus will definitely cost you. God wants us to recognize the value of the relationship we have with Him.
God has told us to go and take the kingdom to the world. Are we taking responsibility for those dying around us who have never heard of Jesus?
Amen. Years ago I ran across these words, “It took such a long time to see, God’s Kingdom revolves around him, not me.” Pride is one of what I believe are three roots sins, the other two being unbelief and rebellion. We focus on the external sins of this world, but God looks at the hearts of men. And pride is detestable in his sight, much more so than we can possibly imagine. Thanks for sharing these thoughts that remind us to confess and deal with the indwelling pride that so easily creeps into our lives.
